Test report La Sportiva G-Tech Boots

Key Features

Crampon-compatible mountaineering boot for ice and mixed climbing

Integrated gaiter protects against water and cold

Lightweight, precise fit thanks to the BOA closure system

CORE-WRAP overlap construction for excellent insulation and support

Vibram ICE-Tech outsole for maximum grip on ice

Franz’s Experience

The La Sportiva G-Tech fully convinced me during ice and mixed climbing. With its stiff sole and thin yet stable midsole, the boot offers outstanding precision, especially on small footholds. Thanks to the BOA closure system, the boot can be adjusted quickly and easily, even while wearing thick gloves. The integrated gaiter offers reliable protection from moisture and keeps feet dry. During longer belay stances at high altitude, it could be a little warmer, but for most of the ice climbing season, the G-Tech provides a perfect balance of lightness and performance. Fit and comfort are excellent, and the boot performs reliably even in steep ice.

Excerpt from the test report in Bergzeit Magazin
