<p>The Altra Olympus 7 men's shoes are ultra-trail running shoes with massive cushioning that let you effortlessly smooth out uneven terrain on non-technical surfaces. Especially on long runs, you’ll benefit from a consistently smooth running experience where your feet won’t give you any unpleasant feedback, such as pressure points or the like.</p> <p>The ingenious design of this trail endurance runner—refined in every detail—achieves this extremely comfortable, natural feel thanks to a stable, snug-fitting, and comfortably cushioned heel section that securely positions your foot. In the midfoot area as well, the lacing system allows for effective, excellent-adjusting support without pressure points—the contoured tongue, which tapers completely flat at the edges, plays a key role in this. Maximum airflow and a supple, sock-like fit are also ensured by the new Engineered Mesh. A protective toe cap and a wide toe box that allows your forefoot to move freely are essential in ultra-running shoes and are perfectly implemented in the Olympus 7.</p> <p>However, the design truly comes together when combined with the soft, cushioned, thick midsole with no heel-to-toe drop, which—despite its thickness of about 33 mm (the exact sole thickness varies by size)—allows for a natural flex. To ensure you don’t lose your footing even on slippery trails, the excellent Vibram® Megagrip outsole provides ample traction and grip both uphill and downhill.</p> <p>Thanks to GaiterTrap™, the shoe is fully compatible with Altra Trail gaiters.</p>
