<p>The Pagoda Tour CFL 100 touring skis are exceptional freetourers that set new standards in terms of deep-snow performance, playfulness and intuitive handling.</p> <p>The key to their outstanding performance and low weight lies in their internal construction &ndash; specifically, the materials used and how they are layered and arranged. The Salt Lake City-based company combines specially developed carbon layers arranged lengthways with flax fibres running diagonally to them, and a core made of paulownia wood. Improved vibration damping, achieved through greater torsional stiffness, results in a smoother ride. Furthermore, the sidewalls are made from a material based on a &lsquo;bio-based raw material&rsquo; derived from algae. The US firm is also increasingly relying on bio-based resin for bonding the materials.</p> <p>The combination of sidecut, high-end materials and a tried-and-tested tip-rocker geometry delivers exceptional manoeuvrability whilst offering improved stability. Naturally, the waist width of 100 mm provides plenty of surface area for generous float in powder. However, the Pagoda Tour 100 CFL touring ski is particularly noteworthy for its suitability across a wide range of snow conditions.</p>
