<p>With the incredibly lightweight Olympus Mons Cube expedition boot, La Sportiva pulls out all the stops in thermal insulation technology and maximum versatility for the most extreme, coldest environments on the planet. Whether for high altitude mountaineering or polar expeditions, the well thought-out boot offers a solution for all requirements and is the only one to date that is also compatible with touring ski bindings thanks to pin inserts.</p> <p>The intricate construction combines an integrated, robust gaiter closes at the knee, an inner boot, and a double Boa&reg; closure. Water and wind resistant on the outside, with multiple insulation layers on the inside for maximum warmth retention. There are two additional insulating 'liners' in the inner boot. And the lightweight technical sole construction, which is fully crampon compatible, also acts as a highly efficient cold barrier.</p> <p>La Sportiva combines Vibram&reg; Litebase and Morflex outsole technologies in the Olympus Mons Cube to achieve minimal weight with the necessary abrasion resistance.</p>
